Who is responsible for your information

What I collect, and why

If you send an enquiry through the form on this site, I collect your name, email address, an optional phone number, the town you are based in, which service you are interested in, how you would describe your training, what your goal is, and how you would prefer me to reply.

I use all of it for exactly one thing: replying to your enquiry and, if we go on to work together, coaching you properly. The lawful basis is your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form, and I ask for that consent rather than assuming it.

I do not add you to a mailing list, I do not sell your details, and I do not share them with anybody else.

How long I keep it

If you enquire and we do not end up working together, I delete your enquiry once the conversation has clearly finished, and in any case within twelve months. If you become a client, I keep what I need to coach you safely for as long as you are with me and for a reasonable period afterwards, so that if you come back I have your history.

Where it is stored

Enquiries are sent to my email inbox and are held by my hosting and email providers on servers in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area. This website is served from my hosting account and does not have a public database of enquiries.

Analytics and cookies

I use Google Analytics to understand which pages people find useful. Nothing is measured until you agree to it: analytics is switched off by default and only turns on if you press Accept on the cookie banner. If you press Reject, or ignore the banner entirely, no analytics cookies are set. Full detail is in the cookie notice.

Google Analytics is configured with IP anonymisation. It does not tell me who you are, and I never combine it with anything you send me in an enquiry.

Your rights

You have the right to:

ask me for a copy of the information I hold about you;
ask me to correct anything that is wrong;
ask me to delete it;
withdraw your consent at any time;
object to how I am using it, or ask me to restrict that use;
ask me to send it to you or somebody else in a portable format.

Email me and I will action any of these. I will not ask you why, and it will not affect how I treat you. If you are not happy with how I have handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office atico.org.uk.

Children

I coach people under 18, including my own son, but I do not take enquiries directly from them. If you are under 18, please have a parent or guardian contact me instead.

Changes

If I change how any of this works I will update this page and change the date at the top.
